The New York Knicks haven’t won an NBA championship in five decades, and they haven’t been to the NBA Finals since 1999.

Despite being one of the most valuable teams and playing in the basketball mecca, there are plenty of things that could be improved there.

That’s why, for years, Knicks fans have urged James Dolan to just sell the team and get it over with.

Notably, one of the biggest and most regular complaints by the players is just how far away the practice facility is.

Talking to Patrick Beverley for his podcast, Knicks guard Miles McBride recently revealed the the practice facility is a good 45-50 minutes away from the city (via Let’s Talk Knicks).

He revealed that he used to live close to the facility, which is what they recommend for rookies, adding that he later moved to a point in the middle and that now that he’s paid his dues, he’s just living his life in the city.

It doesn’t make sense that a professional basketball team has its practice facility so far from its actual arena.

They should go the extra mile to make sure the players have a proper practice experience, and that’s the kind of small tweak that could go a long way for any team, Knicks included.

Of course, it’s not like there’s that much space available in the Big Apple, but having the players drive 50 minutes upstate just to get there in the morning might not exactly be ideal for this organization.
