The Dallas Mavericks have a date with history on Monday night.

No team has done what they’re trying to do, but they know records are made to be broken and history is meant to be made.

Jason Kidd’s team managed to avoid elimination and force Game 5 with a masterful performance in Game 4.

Now, they’ll have to keep their foot on the gas against a Boston Celtics team that will be hungry for revenge and looking to make a statement in front of their home crowd.

That’s why NBA analyst Alan Hahn believes this might be the toughest game Kyrie Irving has ever played.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Hahn claimed that Kyrie’s history with Boston has led up to this moment, and he’ll need to shake those woes off to play at the level his team needs him and expects him to perform.

Irving isn’t particularly beloved or respected in Boston, and he’s constantly poked the bear.

He even called the fans out after Game 1 for not being as loud as he expected them to be.

Kyrie is already an NBA champion, and he was a part of the only team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals, so perhaps Hahn’s take is a bit of a reach.

Nonetheless, this could be a legacy-defining game and series for him, and we all know what he’s capable of when he’s at his best.
