The Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics will meet again on Monday night for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Celtics are up 3-1 and are playing at home, which gives them a huge incentive to score one last win and earn their 18th championship.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce said that Game 5 is an absolute must-win for his former team.

“They have to get the job done on your home court. You don’t want to give them any hope,” Pierce said.

He explained that if the Mavericks can win in Boston on Monday night, then the momentum of the series will completely shift to them.

They will have proven that they can beat the Celtics on the road and they can also beat them in a dominant fashion at home too.

Game 4 of the series may have been a turning point for the Mavericks.

After three disappointing losses in a row, Dallas destroyed the Celtics by 38 points and looked like a team from Boston’s nightmares.

It was a resounding success for the Mavericks but they are still in an incredibly deep hole.

No team has ever rebounded from being down 0-3 so history suggests the Mavericks won’t be able to claim the championship.

However, if they can pull off a second win during Game 5, there will be many more conversations about them possibly making history.

With that being said, odd makers feel that Boston has the advantage for Monday’s game.

They are playing at home and have just suffered a massive defeat.

Because of that, the Celtics will be very fired up and driven to put this series to bed.

Even if they lose Monday night, the Celtics will still be the favorites to win the Finals, but there will be a lot of concern about them.
