After being dominated by the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals at American Airlines Center, the Boston Celtics will have a chance to bounce back with a vengeance on Monday night at TD Garden, their home floor, for Game 5, where they can win it all.

Along with the added motivation of avenging an embarrassing 38-point loss on the road, the Celtics can win a title in front of their fans at TD Garden in Boston, which is obviously an ideal situation for any team.

However, superstar forward Jayson Tatum made a concerning comment about tonight’s game in Boston, as he said it wouldn’t be the end of the world if the team lost Game 5, as the team still has a commanding lead and the fact that no team in NBA history has come back from a 0-3 deficit.

That comment hasn’t sat well with some, especially former NFL player James Jones, who says Tatum’s mentor Kobe Bryant would have never said anything close to this in the Finals via Speak On FS1.

“I don’t like it,” Jones said.

Although Tatum is essentially correct, as the team would have two more chances to beat the Mavericks (Game 6 and Game 7) to win the title, a player should never have that kind of attitude because anything can happen, and momentum can shift very quickly.

Even though the Mavericks have to make NBA history to come back to win this series, there’s always that first team that pulls off this kind of feat, and Dallas looked locked in Game 4 with a game plan that might work against Boston moving forward.
