The Atlanta Falcons are slated to look a lot different in 2024 than they did in 2023.
One of the biggest knocks against the Falcons over the past few years has been a distinct lack of veteran leadership and success from the quarterback position.
They should get that out of Kirk Cousins, who recently signed a four-year contract with the team.
Many believe that Cousins can help this team get over the hump, perhaps being their missing link to go on a deep postseason run.
While Cousins was viewed as a great addition, the Falcons are still working to assemble the best possible team.
Reporter Aaron Wilson recently highlighted the Falcons’ newest player, Jaryd Jones-Smith, who is signing a contract with them.

Jones-Smith was undrafted in 2018 and has spent time with six different NFL rosters, mainly on practice squads.
However, he did make some noise as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks in the UFL, making the All-UFL team.
The Falcons are seemingly giving him another shot in the NFL, this time, with an opportunity to protect Cousins, and potentially be a part of one of the most dynamic offenses in football.
The front office invested significant draft capital in skill-position players in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 drafts.
They are hoping for their investments to pan out, which is why they brought in Cousins to support them, and are taking a chance on a player like Jones-Smith to help assist them in reaching their goals over the next few seasons.
