All young NBA players need to go through some growing pains.
Michael Jordan would’ve never become Michael Jordan without the Detroit Pistons, and the young Boston Celtics roster had to experience failure before finally finding success.
That’s why this shouldn’t be the end of the line for Luka Doncic by any means.
If anything, he should learn from this experience and work on the things he clearly needs to work on.
Even so, while failure is understandable at 25 years old, Skip Bayless just wasn’t having it.
Following the Boston Celtics’ win in Game 5, he took to Twitter to call out the Slovenian star, calling himself a fool for picking the Dallas Mavericks to win the series in seven games.

Bayless claimed that Doncic went ‘colder than Bill Belichick’s heart’ in the NBA Finals, stating that he only had one good half of basketball in Game 4.
Truth be told, Doncic failed to live up to the expectations.
His shot wasn’t falling as often, either.
Nonetheless, we have to give credit where it’s due, and he was out there playing with a bad ankle, an injured knee, and an undisclosed injury.
If anything, it’s understandable that a young player isn’t at his best in his first trip to the NBA Finals.
He has to get in better shape and work on his character, and hopefully, experiencing this pain will only push him forward in the future.
