Not so long ago, Miles Bridges was out of the NBA.

Given the accusations against him, most people thought he wouldn’t be back in the league, especially considering the fact that he pleaded no contest to them.

However, the Charlotte Hornets still decided to give him another chance.

Notably, the case against him came at the worst possible time, as he was reportedly about to get a big and very lucrative contract.

He ended up settling for a one-year deal to return to Charlotte.

Considering that, Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports reports that the Hornets want to bring him back, but they’re not willing to go over a certain number.

The Hornets would like to re-sign Miles Bridges, but they have a limit on what they feel comfortable offering.

If another team offers Bridges a contract above their desired figure, Charlotte would explore sign-and-trade scenarios.

Should Bridges get a better offer from other teams, the Hornets would then explore sign-and-trade scenarios, with the Pistons being a potential suitor.

Bridges was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and attended Michigan State, so it would make sense for him to try and get back home.

Also, the Pistons are a young team with a big need at the three, so he’s an obvious fit.

Bridges’ career was on the rise before the accusations against him, but he was able to pick things up where he left off once he came back.

The Hornets, like the Pistons, are far away from being a playoff-caliber team, and it remains to be seen whether a contending team will show any interest in his services.
