The Milwaukee Bucks have some decisions to make soon.
After an up-and-down season and another disappointing run in the playoffs, they are trying to navigate their path forward.
That means they could be parting ways with players, including some of their most popular ones.
NBA executives are questioning the future of Brook Lopez and the Bucks, according to Kevin O’Connor, via NBACentral.
“There are rumblings that the Bucks would like to play a more versatile style of defense next season, which raises the question of whether Brook Lopez has a future there,” O’Connor reported.

For the last few years, Lopez has been a vital part of the team, helping with his size and reach.
He has averaged 13 points and 5.2 rebounds during his six seasons in Milwaukee and has worked incredibly well alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But it sounds like his time with the team could be coming to an end.
The team is still figuring out its identity after a couple of major changes.
They added Damian Lillard to the lineup last summer and then hired Doc Rivers as head coach in the middle of the season.
Rivers was thrust into his job halfway through 2023–24 and is clearly still making decisions about the direction he wants to take the team.
There is a chance that Rivers’ plans don’t line up with Lopez’s skills and the talented big man is sent away.
If Lopez does leave the Bucks, many other teams will want to sign him.
Although he is 36 years old, he is still a very effective presence on the court and can do great things.
Lopez has become a fan favorite in Milwaukee and it would be hard for Bucks followers to say goodbye to him.
But if this leads to the team working better, Milwaukee fans will be willing to let him go.
