A few years ago, The Last Dance documentary came out on Netflix and took NBA fans by storm, as it covered in detail what happened during Michael Jordan’s dominant run to six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls.

Along with numerous interviews with teammates, opponents and coaches, the documentary spent time explaining the backstories of Jordan’s star teammates, like Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen.

Although the documentary’s examination of Pippen and Rodman’s roles was controversial, both Hall of Famers were given credit for winning championships for the Bulls during Jordan’s era of dominance in Chicago.

However, Pippen didn’t like the way he was portrayed in the documentary and has had an axe to grind ever since, downplaying Jordan’s legacy while trying to elevate himself in a cringeworthy way, which hasn’t gone well for him.

As if enough damage hasn’t been done by Pippen’s bitterness since the documentary came out, he took it to another level recently by claiming that stats were fabricated in Jordan’s favor via Legion Hoops.

“Say I deflected the ball and tapped it over to [MJ]. I should get the credit with the steal right? Nope. More often that not, the steal went into his column in the stat sheet and I could do nothing about it… One night a scorekeeper came into the locker room… to hand the stat sheets to Phil Jackson… I couldn’t believe the look the guy gave Michael: ‘See MJ, we take care of you,’” Pippen said.

Scottie Pippen says NBA scorekeepers in the 90’s fabricated stats for Michael Jordan:

At this point, it is getting pretty ridiculous when it comes to Pippen’s grudge against Jordan, as he seems to take any opportunity to downplay the legacy of his former Bulls teammate, which is sad, to say the least.

Until these two legends squash their beef, Pippen will likely continue his crusade to discredit Jordan and his distinction as the greatest player of all time.
