The New Orleans Pelicans have been on the verge of making modifications to their roster for years now, especially with the regular injuries to Zion Williamson.
This summer could be when they finally commit to something big and add several players to their roster.
According to Jonathan Givony, per Evan Sidery, the Pelicans “loom as a potential trade destination” for Trae Young or Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks.
It is being reported that Brandon Ingram would likely be sent to the Hawks if the two teams agreed to a massive deal.

It is important to note that it would be either Young or Murray for the Pelicans and the team wouldn’t get both players.
But receiving just one of them could substantially shake up the team and improve their chances.
Young and Murray are both supremely talented basketball players and Hawks fans were hoping they’d make magic together on the court.
Unfortunately, their partnership didn’t pan out as expected and the team has had a hard time breaking through the Eastern Conference.
There have been rumors about Young, Murray, or both players leaving the Hawks for more than a season now, and it seems like they could finally depart this summer.
Ingram has been a staple of the Pelicans and a reliable star for most of his time there.
He has also really picked up the slack when Williamson was injured and has proven himself a strong team leader.
With that being said, the Pelicans need to make a financial decision about their future, and they cannot afford both Williamson and Ingram at the same time.
New Orleans has been looking to make a change to enhance their chances in a crowded Western Conference and landing either Young or Murray could give them that.
