The Houston Rockets made the most of the James Harden trade.
They’ve stacked their roster with young talent.
And while they seemed to hope that either Jalen Green or Jabari Smith Jr. would end up being their franchise player, they found gold with Alperen Sengun instead.
Ime Udoka took the reins of the team last season and they seemed way ahead of schedule, fighting for a postseason berth until the very end of the season.
That’s why the plans have changed in Houston again, as Udoka is all about winning and the team looks to be better than expected at this point in their development.
With that in mind, they’re reportedly prepared to go big game hunting in the offseason, according to Michael Scotto (via Legion Hoops).

Per the report, Paul George could be one of their primary targets in the summer.
George and the Los Angeles Clippers haven’t been able to strike a deal and a contract extension seems unlikely at this point.
He could either become a free agent by opting out of the final year of his contract or force a trade somewhere else.
The Rockets have more than enough draft assets and salary cap flexibility to make a run at George or any other star.
They might not be ready to pursue a championship, but they have a talented roster and a solid coach, so even though crazier things have happened, you can never rule anything out.
