The Golden State Warriors don’t have a championship-caliber roster right now.
Jonathan Kuminga looks poised for a breakout after a strong end to last season, and Brandon Podziemski looks like a very serviceable player with a bright future.
Draymond Green, when out of trouble, is still one of the best defensive players in the game, and Stephen Curry is still a superstar.
Other than that, there aren’t many certainties in the Bay area, not even regarding the likes of Klay Thompson.
That’s why it’s only normal to see that analysts and oddsmakers aren’t particularly high on them in terms of championship contention.
As reported by Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports Bay Area, Fanatics Sportsbook currently has the Dubs tied for the 12th-highest odds to win it all next season:
“Fanatics Sportsbook projects the Warriors as +3000 to win the 2025 NBA Finals, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat for 12th-best odds,” Thanawalla reported.

Of course, we’ve seen this very same franchise beat the odds multiple times in the past, and these things should be taken with a grain of salt at this point in the offseason.
Then again, it also helps the fans and even the team to know where they currently stand.
The Warriors are in a tough position, as they still have one of the best players in the game, hence they still have a chance, as long as they make the right moves to put him in a position to succeed.
Whether that means putting an end to the Splash Brothers era and breaking up their legendary championship core remains to be seen, but Mike Dunleavy Jr. has some difficult decisions to make.
