It’s a shame former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick revealed having a new girlfriend just weeks after the Tom Brady roast because it would have given his former players plenty of material to work with.
Luckily for Rob Gronkowski, his former teammate and Brady roast partner Julian Edelman has a podcast called Games with Names for him to fire off his takes on his former 72-year-old coach’s new 24-year-old girlfriend.
Gronkowski appeared on Edelman’s podcast recently and noted that there were three things Belichick used to tell his players not to get caught up in, which were “alcohol, a**holes, and girls,” before poking fun at Belichick saying that he is now “all caught up with the girls” and perhaps this is a way for him to fight back on his criticism as a coach for failing to be able to connect with the younger generation.

Gronk also joked that Belichick could be an a**hole at times when he was a coach, but now that he is retired he is much nicer and doesn’t act that way anymore.
Many have criticized Belichick for the age gap with his new partner, but Gronk and Edelman are happy for their former coach and clearly make light of the situation.
It’s nice to see Belichick is clearly enjoying his retirement, and it will be odd to finally have an NFL season without him on the sidelines as Jerod Mayo took over with the Patriots and Belichick did not land one of the other head coaching gigs he was heavily rumored to be in the running for.
