HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ is always one of the best behind-the-curtains shows on television, and it has given fans access to NFL locker rooms in ways they never had before.
This upcoming season, the New York Giants will be on the show as HBO does an offseason version for the first time, and the trailer just dropped which teases everything from the Malik Nabers draft pick, to the Brian Burns trade, to Daniel Jones’ torn ACL rehab, to the Saquon Barkley free agency sweepstakes.
The offseason with the Giants premiers on July 2nd on Max.

The Giants are fulfilling their inevitable Hard Knocks requirement with a “behind the scenes” draft show that every other team does on their YouTube anyway. pic.twitter.com/8hOgeWNCfh

One of the most interesting little clips from the trailer is the call with Saquon Barkley, who quickly left town to sign with the rival Philadelphia Eagles in free agency and said afterward that the Giants never made him an offer, while it can be seen in the video that the team was trying to get word from him that he’d give them a chance to make one.
Burns and Nabers are massive additions to a roster that was in serious need of an upgrade in both the edge rusher and wide receiver departments, and Hard Knocks will clearly be diving deeper into the processes that led to both ending up in Big Blue.
Head coach Brian Daboll appears to be featured quite a bit, so fans will develop a better understanding of his relationships throughout the organization as well.
We can’t wait for the first offseason Hard Knocks.
