The Sacramento Kings want to get back to the playoffs.

A late-season string of injuries got in their way last season, but they clearly have a talented core of players who could make some noise in the Western Conference.

That’s why they need to keep doubling down on this core and going after some other guys who could contribute to winning right away.

With that in mind, NBA insider Sam Amick reported that they could still be a player for Kyle Kuzma in the offseason (via Legion Hoops).

Notably, this isn’t the first time that they’ve been tied to the Michigan native.

They were even reportedly quite close to trading for him when he was still with the Los Angeles Lakers before they pivoted to pursue Russell Westbrook.

Kuzma has championship experience and was a third-scoring option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

He’s posted All-Star-caliber numbers since he arrived in the nation’s capital, although that hasn’t translated into winning basketball.

He’s also shown that he can play defense and score from all three levels.

A Big 3 of De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Kyle Kuzma could be quite fun to watch, and he could stretch the floor with his combination of size and shooting.

He’d give the Kings another shooter alongside Keegan Murray, and with Fox reportedly considering his future, trading for him might be more than enough to convince him to stay and sign a contract extension.
