The Brooklyn Nets seem intent on doing business with other NBA teams, so there are several front offices seeing what they’ll commit to.
The Nets have already traded away one of their biggest stars but they may be willing to send away more.
According to Michael Scotto, via Legion Hoops, the New Orleans Pelicans are among the teams wondering if Brooklyn’s Nic Claxton could be available through a sign-and-trade deal.
If the Nets will part ways with Claxton, now might be the time.

On Tuesday evening, the Nets said goodbye to Mikal Bridges, a centerpiece of their team.
They are acquiring a lot of draft picks and it’s very likely they will tank next season and begin a long rebuilding process.
That means they could be open to the idea of sending Claxton away.
If he really is on the market, it won’t just be the Pelicans trying to get him.
In 2023-24, Claxton averaged 11.8 points and 9.9 rebounds and was another vital part of the team.
Over the last few years, his role within the Nets organization has grown and he earned even more responsibilities after the departure of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Claxton is a very talented young player but he has been playing for a mediocre team so many of his followers would be excited to see him move to a squad with a lot more potential.
The Pelicans will drive a hard bargain to get Claxton and they will be competing with a number of other teams that want a big man who can shoot and defend at the same time.
