It has been a long time since NBA fans went into draft night with very little clue as to who was going to be the No. 1 pick, but this year that is the case as there is no generational prospect and teams are going to have to dig deep to avoid the landmines and try to find a diamond.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith finds one wild card prospect to be the “most intriguing” in the draft, and it’s exactly who you’d expect it to be.

Stephen A. said that Bronny James is “easily” the most intriguing prospect entering tonight’s draft, and said “We’re all waiting to see what happens with his name.”

Smith called Bronny the most intriguing because of his wide range of outcomes and because of how much fans are wondering what is going on behind the scenes.

It’s no surprise Smith feels this way since Bronny has been the only prospect the media has been talking about for months, and Bronny’s status as an intriguing prospect largely starts and ends with his name.

If drafting him doesn’t lure LeBron James to town, he’s a risky proposition at best, and Bronny has only worked out for the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns as his camp appears to be doing everything it can to funnel him to a specific landing spot.

Bronny averaged 4.8 points per game at USC last season and shot 36.6 percent from the field, but he had a strong performance at the NBA Combine that should convince a team to at least give him a shot.
