For years, Bronny James has been expected to follow his father’s steps and play in the NBA.
However, their paths to the league have been quite different.
James made it to the league straight from high school, and chances are he would’ve been fine if he had entered the NBA a year earlier.
That’s how big of a prodigy he was.
With all due respect, Bronny isn’t in the same stratosphere, which is why he wasn’t even taken in the first round.
Instead, NBA insider Bobby Marks believes he’s going to slip all the way to No. 55.
More likely Bronny gets drafted before 55 or that he doesn’t get drafted at all? pic.twitter.com/W4yVckG9iN

Talking on the Unsportsmanlike Radio Show, Marks predicted he would fall right into the Los Angeles Lakers’ lap late in the second round.
This is far from a surprise, as Bronny refused to work out for most teams, pretty much sending the message that he wanted to handpick his destination.
Needless to say, that rubbed plenty of people the wrong way, as that’s not something second-round players do.
Bronny could still turn out to be a very good player or a decent one at the very least, but it just feels like his camp isn’t doing him any favors.
Not only did he make a somewhat questionable impression by his decision not to work out for several teams, but it’s also become more than evident that he’s not ready to play in the league.
And with James set to play for another two or three seasons, perhaps it wouldn’t have hurt him to go back to college for another season.
