The first night of the NBA draft had a few surprises but one thing it did not feature was a surprise first-round pick of Bronny James.
James didn’t get selected by any team and is now hoping to have more luck on night two.
This news was reported by clip and many other Twitter users, who came out to both celebrate and criticize the young NBA hopeful.

While some people poked fun at James for not getting picked on the first night, others said they weren’t even a little surprised.
For months now, most people have assumed that James would be chosen in the second round, possibly by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Most still feel that his dad’s team will take him with their 55th pick during night two.

But many others were saying he wouldn’t be picked at all this year if it weren’t for his father’s legacy.
There are still plenty of NBA fans who believe that James isn’t ready for the big leagues and is only entering the association because of his last name.
Great kid. GREAT potential. However, were he not L. James’ son, he would likely go undrafted, and need to further prove himself BEFORE seeing ANY NBA playing time.

Others said he should have remained in college for at least one more year, which would have allowed him time to improve his skills and become a better player.

James isn’t the first college student to try his hand at the NBA after a single year in college, but few have tried with so much attention and such expectations.
There has never been a second-round pick who has received so much press and analysis before playing a single game.
He didn’t make it on night one but most people believe James will have more luck on night two.
And then the attention around him will only grow.
