This year’s NBA draft is only halfway over but it’s very likely the world has already been introduced to next season’s Rookie of the Year.

On Thursday morning, FanDuel TV revealed the two frontrunners for the trophy and, unsurprisingly, they are the top picks from Wednesday night.

Alexandre Sarr of the Washington Wizards currently has the best odds with +450, but Zaccharie Risacher is right behind him with +600 odds.

They might be the ones leading the pack but a lot can change in the months ahead.

Let’s take a look at some NBA Rookie of the Year odds

There are a lot of questions about both Sarr and Risacher.

They have both had a lot of success so far in their young careers but there are concerns that they won’t adjust to playing in the league.

If that happens, a number of other players could rise up the standings and secure Rookie of the Year.

This year’s draft has been very fluid and things changed a lot before Wednesday evening.

Risacher was taken as the first pick but Sarr had a good chance of being chosen too.

That has made the draft more exciting but harder to predict.

Likewise, the future for all these players is also unpredictable.

Both Sarr and Risacher are joining teams that need a lot of help.

Sarr’s Wizards are in horrible shape and need massive changes, while Risacher’s Hawks could look really different next season and might lose Trae Young or Dejounte Murray.

This means both players have pathways forward to contributing a lot to their teams.

But will either of these young stars come out on top and earn Rookie of the Year?
