The Los Angeles Lakers had several questions to answer heading into the draft.
Many wondered what the Lakers were going to do with their first-round pick, seeing that the team has a few holes across the board.
They ended up taking Dalton Knecht with that selection, a great collegiate athlete who could bring a lot to the NBA.
Drafting Knecht was certainly a story by itself, but it was overshadowed by the team’s selection in the second round, as they ultimately decided on Bronny James.
Bronny will join his father, LeBron, on the Lakers, where they will be the first father-son duo in league history.
As one might imagine, Bronny’s draft selection was important to the whole family, and it brought up a lot of emotions.

Having a child selected for a professional sport is a rare feat for any parent.
The odds of a player becoming so good that they make it to the pros are incredibly low, no matter how strong their gene pool is.
LeBron not only gets to see his son play in the NBA, but he’ll get a chance to play alongside him on one of the most historic franchises in league history.
This pick might have been controversial to some fans and analysts across the league, but for the James family, it’s the start of a new era in their basketball journey.
