Atlanta Hawks three-time All-Star point guard Trae Young might be on the move.

According to insider Jake Fischer, Young has a list of a few teams that he would like to be traded to.

“Young does have the Pelicans in mind of preferred possible next teams, league sources told Yahoo Sports, in addition to the Spurs and Lakers,” Fischer recently noted.

Those teams are all fascinating options for the All-NBA performer.

Trae Young’s list of preferred destinations, per @JakeLFischer:

– Los Angeles Lakers
– New Orleans Pelicans
– San Antonio Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers could certainly be an interesting team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis both possibly in the fold for first-time head coach JJ Redick’s first season.

But, if former All-Star guard D’Angelo Russell opts into his contract, there won’t be a ton of room for Young to be great in Los Angeles.

New Orleans could be a fit because the Pelicans already have two All-Star players in Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.

However, veteran starter C.J. McCollum currently commands the backcourt down in the Bayou, which means Young wouldn’t be the predominant ball-handler.

That leaves the San Antonio Spurs as another potential option.

Imagine Trae Young and Victor Wembanyama connecting on alley-oops left and right.

They would be a fun, young duo to watch for years to come.

Learning from the great Gregg Popovich would be a great experience for Young too.

Judging by those three destinations, San Antonio seems like it could be the most likely option.

But, the Atlanta Hawks would still need to sign off on a trade.

Until that happens, Young can’t go anywhere.
