James Harden put the Philadelphia 76ers in an awkward position, or so he thought.
In reality, Daryl Morey made a great move when he moved on from his former employee and friend.
He got enough assets and financial flexibility to go after another star in the summer, and that’s exactly what he’s going to do.
The Sixers’ interest in Paul George has been one of the worst-kept secrets in the league for months, and especially over the past couple of days.
With that in mind, NBA analyst Lance Medow claimed the interest should be mutual, as they’re a perfect fit for Paul George and vice versa.

Talking on the Mad Dog Sports Ratio, he stated that going back to the Eastern Conference would help George pursue a championship.
He thinks that even though the New York Knicks made a big move, only the Boston Celtics are a lock to be a championship contender in the East.
However, pairing Tyrese Maxey with Joel Embiid and Paul George would put the Sixers on a whole new level.
He stated that George would be a massive upgrade over Tobias Harris, adding that Daryl Morey didn’t even need to wiggle his way around the salary cap because they already had the financial flexibility to do so.
Truth be told, the Sixers would give George his best opportunity to win an NBA championship, and with him not getting any younger, he should take that chance while he has it, as the Los Angeles Clippers might not be ready to win the whole thing now.
