The Inside The NBA crew loves to poke fun at teams when they get knocked out of the playoffs and joke that they are “gone fishing’” while fans often make the quip that eliminated players are headed to Cancun.
One NBA superstar has chosen to enjoy his offseason elsewhere.
Pictures have surfaced of Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard traipsing around Costa Rica and riding through the streets while drinking out of a small coconut.

It’s great to see Leonard enjoying some rest and relaxation before having to suit up for the Olympics soon, as June 29th was actually his 33rd birthday, which could explain why he decided to take a trip.
Team USA reports to camp next week in Las Vegas, and Leonard is expected to be there along with all 11 of his teammates.
It was surprising to many that Leonard decided to suit up for the Olympics after once again missing postseason games with a knee injury as the Clippers lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the first round.
It was the fourth consecutive postseason that Leonard has either gotten hurt or missed altogether, and the team needs him healthy heading into next season with so much uncertainty surrounding the rest of the roster given Paul George’s free agency and James Harden’s future up in the air as well.
For now, Kawhi looks to be enjoying his birthday in the luscious greenery that Costa Rica has to offer.
Unfortunately for Costa Rica, the country’s basketball team has not qualified for the 2024 Olympics.
