On paper, the Philadelphia 76ers should be one of the best teams in the league next season.

Adding Paul George to the mix only made them more impressive, and they have the potential to be one of the best two-way teams in the league.

Nonetheless, health will continue to be a major concern for this team, as George isn’t exactly the most durable player.

Considering that, sports analyst Craig Carton claimed that if they’re healthy, they’re definitely one of the biggest threats in the Eastern Conference.

“If those guys stay on the court, the 76ers are an absolute threat now in the East.”

Talking on the Carton Show, the controversial pundit questioned their ability to stay on the court, but he couldn’t deny that they were now a big player in the conference.

Dating back to the past five seasons, George has missed 127 games and Joel Embiid has been out for 116.

Still, George was mostly available for the Los Angeles Clippers last season.

Having him there should allow Nick Nurse to have at least two of their three stars on the court for every game.

Being available is a big part of the job, and that’s perhaps why the Clippers chose not to meet his demands in free agency, and also why it was such a big gamble by Daryl Morey.

However, we’re talking about a team that hasn’t gotten past the second round of the playoffs in the past seven seasons, so it was about time they made a big splash in free agency.
