It’s the dawn of a new era for the Golden State Warriors.

For the first time since 2011, Klay Thompson most likely won’t be on the roster.

And while they spent two long and difficult years without him on the floor due to injury, this time, he’s most likely not coming back.

Chris Paul is no longer on the premises either, and it’s been a year since they traded Jordan Poole away.

That means Brandin Podziemski is going to have a huge role on Steve Kerr’s team next season.

That’s also why the fans got so hyped to see a clip shared by the Warriors Basketball Academy on Twitter showing Podziesmki hitting a full-court shot.

Of course, he’s not going to be asked to do that in a game, but he’s going to have an expanded offensive role next season for sure.

Podziemski had a very solid rookie season.

He contributed to almost all aspects of the game, whether it was starting or coming off the bench.

His presence may have been one of the reasons why the Warriors might feel comfortable parting ways with Thompson, as they know he’s a reliable three-level scorer with a high basketball IQ and a great feel for the game.

The Warriors will have to rely on their young players more than usual next season, with Jonathan Kuminga also expected to take a leap forward.

Notably, that might not translate to instant success, but it was long overdue, and the dynasty and championship core were going to take a step back at some point.
