For months, NBA fans and analysts speculated about Paul George’s future.
Most of them stated that he was going to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, and they weren’t wrong.
The Sixers were eager to get him as soon as they traded James Harden away to the Los Angeles Clippers, and Daryl Morey is the kind of executive who usually gets deals done.
He knew it would take a fourth year in his contract to get George to ink his signature on paper, and he made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
He’s now a member of the Sixers after committing to a four-year deal worth a whopping $212 million.
Unsurprisingly, Joel Embiid couldn’t be happier about that.
Talking on NBA TV, insider Chris Haynes revealed that he had reached out to the former MVP, adding that he was very excited about this pairing.

With the Orlando Magic signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Sixers became George’s only feasible and realistic destination as a free agent, and now, he’s going to have a legitimate chance to win an NBA championship alongside two of the best scorers in today’s game.
