The Minnesota Timberwolves probably won’t be making major moves in the summer considering how well they performed last season.
Instead, they will double down on the roster they currently have and prepare for more success in 2024-25.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, center Luka Garza is returning to the Timberwolves on a two-year deal.
Garza hasn’t been a major presence with the Timberwolves over the last two seasons but he might be able to do more in the years ahead.

Last season, Garza averaged just 4 points and 1.2 rebounds during his 25 games.
He played only an average of 4.9 minutes per game and didn’t start once.
The details of the Garza deal aren’t known but this is likely a very inexpensive contract for Minnesota, who are trying to keep things as stable and steady as possible before the new season.
They ended 2023-24 as the third-best team in the Western Conference with a 56-26 record.
The team impressed the rest of the league with a strong showing in the postseason, pushing past the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets before being eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
They are hoping to be even better next season but they aren’t looking to shake things up and part ways with players or add a lot of talent.
Instead, the Timberwolves will attempt to keep the team together and build upon last season.
Will Garza be playing more or will he remain a bench player who doesn’t get many minutes?
That remains to be seen but if the Timberwolves find more success than last season he could become a champion soon.
