Bronny James has been the talk of the NBA’s recent draft class for months, as fans and media members haven’t stopped droning on about his potential as an NBA player and the prospect of him playing alongside his father, LeBron James.
Finally, and mercifully, we have gotten the chance to hear from Bronny himself in his introductory press conference as he shared his thoughts on joining the team.
When asked about the process, Bronny said “Everything just has been surreal…I’m extremely grateful for everything” and when asked about the discussions he has had with his father, “Just having that work ethic…and listening to your coaches and being coachable, stuff like that he’s driven into my head my whole life.”

It is indeed surreal that Bronny was born after LeBron already made it to the NBA and won Rookie of the Year, and yet here he is on the same team as his father.
This will likely never happen again, so fans should embrace the unique situation unfolding in front of their very eyes.
Bronny had a notoriously subpar season as a freshman at USC, but his standout performance at the NBA Combine solidified him as a prospect in this league, and it has been no secret for months that his camp was angling to get him to the Lakers.
He also signed a guaranteed contract already, which isn’t common for picks that late in the draft.
All the pressure in the world is on this family now, and we can’t wait to see what happens.
