The Los Angeles Lakers are going to make history next season.
They will have the very first father-son duo on the court that we’ve ever seen in the Association, with LeBron and Bronny James ready to team up.
Of course, Bronny will most likely spend most of his time with their G-League affiliate, but the two will most definitely share the floor at some point, and it may happen early in the season.
Needless to say, that has been the biggest storyline of the NBA offseason and a possibility that has seemed feasible for years now.
However, when asked about that in his introductory press conference, Bronny claimed that he never thought of playing with his father.
He stated that he was excited to join a team with a good player development system (Via CBS Sports).
Bronny James was asked if LeBron still being an active player had anything to do with him entering the 2024 draft:

Unsurprisingly, those comments didn’t sit well on social media, as people had a hard time believing that was the truth.
Are the James’s just liars?

Truth be told, it’s hard to believe Bronny, given the way he and his camp dealt with his draft situation.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to play with your father; it’s actually a heartwarming story and one that we can all relate to.
