The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals last month, proving they are a team to watch but not good enough to win a championship just yet.
But would their luck have changed had they already signed Klay Thompson?
That is what Skip Bayless thinks and he shared his opinion on the latest episode of “The Skip Bayless Show.”
On the show, Bayless said that Thompson would have given the Mavericks an extra boost that could have helped them defeat the Celtics and win a championship.
Will Thompson be able to prove Bayless right next season?

Bayless made sure to mention that Thompson scoffed at the idea of playing with the Los Angeles Lakers.
He added that the former Golden State Warriors star has never been as blown away by LeBron James as others and that may have influenced his choice.
Even though his father still has a deep relationship with the Lakers, Thompson chose to take his talents to Dallas alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Now he is going to try his hardest to contribute a lot and lead them to their first title in years.
Bayless admitted that Thompson can be very hot and cold and his inconsistency can hurt.
But he also said that Thompson could have chipped in some crucial three-pointers when the Mavericks were down and both Doncic and Irving were struggling.
That is the hope and fans of the team are eager to see if Thompson can do that in the new season.
If he plays like he did last season, Thompson won’t be a huge help for the Mavericks.
But if he performs like the four-time champion he is, he could lead Dallas to the NBA promised land.
