The New Orleans Pelicans recently acquired Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks.
That was yet another sign that the Pelicans are going to change this summer and may look very different when the new season begins in the fall.
But what is next for Pelicans star Brandon Ingram?
Many rumors have swirled around Ingram for months and they are only heating up now that New Orleans received Murray.
According to Sam Amico, via NBACentral, both the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets are among the teams “showing interest” in Ingram.
“The San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets have emerged as potential Ingram suitors, as have the Atlanta Hawks, who will soon officially move guard Dejounte Murray to New Orleans. Perhaps that trade could be expanded if the Hawks are truly that interested in Ingram,” Amico wrote.

Ingram is definitely a player who could help out any number of NBA teams.
In 2023-24, he averaged a stat line of 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.7 assists, shooting a strong 49.2% from the floor.
As great as Ingram has been for the last few seasons, the writing has been on the wall and it’s become clear that the Pelicans were going to move on from him.
When they added Murray, it became even more clear that Ingram would be leaving.
There are only a few downsides to adding Ingram, including the fact that he has suffered some injuries and also might demand a dense contract.
But he can add an awful lot to a team and has shown that he can be a quiet, reliable leader too.
Because of that, he could be on the move very soon.
