A couple of years ago, during a Golden State Warriors’ blowout loss to the Phoenix Suns, things got a little chippy between Klay Thompson and Devin Booker.
The two bumped their chests, and Thompson, who was pointing at his hand and the four NBA rings he had won, eventually was ejected.
Nonetheless, there are no hard feelings between the two, and they have nothing but the utmost respect for each other.
That’s why, now that Thompson has joined Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, the media wanted to know Booker’s thoughts on the new-look Mavericks (via Warriors on NBC Sports).

Booker claimed that Thompson was the kind of player who everyone had a tough time imagining in a different jersey.
He added that the Suns will have to make adjustments accordingly, adding that he was sure that Thompson would make the most of this new challenge in his career.
Doncic has gotten the upper hand on Booker lately, and the two have developed a fierce rivalry over the past couple of years.
The Mavs are fresh off a trip to the NBA Finals, whereas the Suns have struggled to live up to the hype.
Now, with Mike Budenholzer leading the way, they’ll try to turn the tables and make sure to get back at Jason Kidd’s team next season.
