Never in NBA history have a father and son played together.
Of course, we’ve seen countless father-son duos make it to the league, each during their time, and we’ve also seen brothers and even twins share the court.
Now, LeBron James and his son, Bronny, are ready to make history.
With that in mind, the four-time NBA champion shared his thoughts about having this unique opportunity (via Ben Golliver).

Following Team USA’s practice, James admitted that it was a dream come true for him.
For years, LeBron talked about this possibility, and everybody was rooting for this to happen.
That’s a testament to LeBron’s longevity, durability, and work ethic.
This was a heartwarming story about a father and son making history, and with the way they handled it, people started talking about nepotism and whether Bronny was even deserving of that roster spot.
That’s not the kind of attention you want as an NBA rookie, but you cannot have thin skin if you’re LeBron’s firstborn pursuing a career in basketball.
Hopefully, things will turn out well for the younger James, as this will be one of the biggest storylines to follow next season.
