With the NBA Summer League already underway, the Golden State Warriors wanted to make the most of the fans in attendance.
The California Classic gave the Warriors a chance to part ways with the remaining stock of Klay Thompson’s jerseys now that he’s left to join the Dallas Mavericks.
According to a report by Warriors beat writer Danny Emerman, the Dubs’ PA announcer let the fans know that there would be discounts on Thompson’s jerseys and urged them to get them while supplies lasted.
Warriors showed a “Thank You Klay Thompson” message on the video board, and the PA announcer urged fans to buy Klay jerseys “while supplies last.”

Apparently, they also had plenty of apparel and merch marked down, not just Thompson’s jerseys.
Thompson is a franchise legend, and every Warriors fan should own at least one of his jerseys.
He spent 13 years with the organization and wanted to stay there until he retired, but that’s just how things work in this line of business at times.
During his days in the Bay area, Thompson helped the Warriors win four NBA championships in six trips to the NBA Finals, all while setting several marks — both individually and as a team — along the way.
Things weren’t always pretty, as there were some dark days during and after his major injuries, but he bled Warriors blue.
He also became a fan favorite in the Bay area because of his demeanor and personality.
His No. 11 jersey will hang high in the rafters at CHASE Center once he retires, so the fans better make the most of this opportunity to get his jersey while they still can.
