The Dallas Cowboys seem to be dealing with more than just contract situations.

While All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons is waiting for a new extension from the team, a teammate of his in safety Malik Hooker recently called him out for focusing on things such as his podcast rather than his duty to the team.

ESPN’s Mike Golic has just given his take on Hooker calling out his teammate.

“Keep that stuff in-house or yahoos like us are going to be talking about it all day,” Golic said on GoJo & Golic.

Should Malik Hooker have shared his thoughts on Micah Parsons?

“Can we all agree this is private family drama that should not have been taken out of the group chat?” @Jessie_Coffield

These are the kinds of things that can separate a locker room if not handled properly.

From Parsons’ perspective, he wants to get paid because he deserves to be taken care of.

After all, he has started his career off by earning three All-Pro nods.

He has done his job in Dallas and deserves a new deal.

From Hooker’s perspective, this is a veteran who is going into his eighth season.

He has never been the star defender on the team and wants to start winning.

Sometimes, players who are not in line for big contracts and who are desperate to win can let jealousy creep in.

All Parsons is doing is making sure he is set up financially down the road.

His podcast is just a side hobby.

Judging by his play over the last three seasons (40.5 sacks), Parsons only cares about his team and his job.

Hooker might just be a little tired of having to answer these kinds of questions and wanted to set the record straight.
