The Los Angeles Lakers made one of the most predictable moves of the NBA offseason during the draft.

Many fans and analysts expected them to select Bronny James with their second-round pick, which ended up coming to fruition.

This pick was initially criticized by many media members, as it was seen as a nepotism move, as James would be paired with his father.

Given his stats in college, there was reason to believe that James might not be a great NBA player, and he has received significant hate in recent weeks.

However, not every analyst and fan thinks this way about him.

Jason Timpf recently gave an alternate take on what James could do in the NBA, indicating that he is being judged unfairly in many ways.

“I think we’re all being foolish if we pretend there’s not NBA tools there,” Timpf said in a recent segment shared by The Volume on Twitter.

James might not have lit up the stat sheet in college, but that doesn’t seem to matter to Timpf.

He impressed a lot of teams during the NBA Combine, and being that his father is LeBron James, one of the best basketball players of all time, there’s a chance that he could develop into a fine role player.

The Lakers certainly took a chance on Bronny, and only time will tell how he turns out.

This could either be a draft pick that is looked back upon as a major steal or he could end up being a bust.
