The Minnesota Timberwolves have one of the new faces of the league in Anthony Edwards.
Edwards has become one of the most exciting players to watch in the league, and he hasn’t even scratched the surface of his potential.
That’s why this summer will be so crucial to his development.
He’ll get to spend time with some of the greatest players to ever do it as he pursues the gold medal in the Olympics.
When asked about what he was looking forward to the most this summer, the former No. 1 pick didn’t hesitate to be a bit of a fanboy.
Talking to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports (via ClutchPoints), he admitted that he just wanted to watch Olympic Kevin Durant.
“Playing alongside [Kevin Durant]… I want to see the Olympic KD. I’ve been watching on TV. When he makes all the shots in the Olympics. It’s time for me to see. I want to watch it from the bench now.”

Once again, he admitted that Durant is his favorite player of all time, so he’s looking forward to teaming up with him and watching him knock down all the shots as he usually does in the Olympics.
Whether it is on the court or on the bench, Edwards just wants to watch his favorite player ever win a game for Team USA.
Notably, Edwards made the most of last summer when he played for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, even if they didn’t finish the job.
He came back stronger, better, more focused, and more committed on the defensive end.
Now, he must soak in as much information as he possibly can and pick everybody’s brains this summer, and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the league.
