After more than a season with the Brooklyn Nets, Mikal Bridges is moving on and will play with the New York Knicks next year.
This could be a very good thing for Bridges and might lead him to new levels of success, but it’s still bittersweet.
Speaking SNY, per NBACentral, Bridges talked about how hard it is to say goodbye to his team.
“It’s sad, man. I’m going to miss everybody,” Bridges stated, before adding that he will still see his former teammates a lot and will remain close to them.

Even though he wasn’t with the Nets for a very long time, Bridges said that he grew close to a number of people associated with the organization.
He says that he likes to grow nice friendships with the people he works with.
That is good for on-court chemistry but it also leads to heartache when trades like this happen.
With that being said, this move is undoubtedly good news for Bridges, who is about to team up with some old college buddies who have built something special with the Knicks.
Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo are ready to get to work with their old Villanova pal and there is no doubt that the Knicks’ culture will be even stronger with the addition of Bridges.
Plus, he brings a lot of skills and posted 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in 2023-24.
The Knicks are coming off of one of their best seasons ever.
With the signing of Bridges, they could be even better in the new year.
He has to part ways with his friends in Brooklyn but Bridges should be very excited about what’s ahead for him and his new team,
