Every NBA player has to find their role in the league.

Some are scrappy defenders, some are sharpshooters, others are 3-an-D guys, and so forth.

There’s another group of players who need to gain attention and get on everybody’s nerves to stay relevant.

They’re not even the so-called villains, such as Dennis Rodman or Draymond Green, because they don’t make that much of an impact on the court, at least not a positive one.

In today’s game, Dillon Brooks is the perfect example of that kind of player.

That was on full display again after Team USA beat Canada, as Brooks passed right between Devin Booker and the media right in the middle of an interview when he could’ve easily gone around him (via Gerald Bourguet).

That’s why NBA players don’t seem to have much sympathy for Brooks, who talked his way out of Memphis a while ago.

Back then, Brooks poked the bear by going at LeBron James in press conferences.

Then, James dominated him on both ends of the floor and even got him ejected, so Brooks didn’t even address the media after those losses.

Those who talk the talk also need to walk the walk, and that has never been the case with Dillon Brooks.

He might try to get in Devin Booker’s head, but you know he’s going to have something ready for him the next time they meet on the court.
