Skip Bayless always tends to have some intriguing ideas whenever he is in front of a microphone.

His latest involves the Dallas Cowboys eventually trading up for talented Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in next year’s NFL Draft.

“Is it possible that they could pull that off, and if they pull that off, would Deion then leave Colorado to coach his son in Dallas. …That’s a Super Bowl move,” Bayless recently said on “The Skip Bayless Show.”

It is clear that Bayless, a known Cowboys fan, is searching for anything to give him some future hope.

His team has not won a Super Bowl since the mid-1990s. In fact, Dallas has not made it to an NFC Championship Game since the 1995 season, either.

Drafting Sanders would be interesting because of both his talent and who his father is.

Deion Sanders was a six-time All-Pro cornerback and is a two-time Super Bowl champion, including as part of the Cowboys’ last title team in 1995.

This whole idea hinges on several things, but current Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is the most important piece of the puzzle.

As he seeks a new contract from Dallas, it is fair to say that the Pro Bowler is a very good quarterback and a big reason why Dallas has won at least 12 regular season games in each of the past three seasons.

Would Jerry Jones really let go of Prescott just to have a prayer of bringing both Shedeur and Deion Sanders to Dallas?
