The NFC North has a lot of good wide receivers, but Justin Jefferson is the king of the castle with what he has done so far in his young career.

The Minnesota Vikings superstar has the most yards in NFL history for any wide receiver through his first four career seasons (5,899).

Luckily for the Chicago Bears, they have an elite cornerback who can combat Jefferson.

His name is Jaylon Johnson, and he recently spoke on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” about how tough it is to cover Jefferson.

“You definitely have to be able to move with your feet and win with your feet. … And also win at the catch point, because he’s going to make some great catches,” Johnson said.

The Pro Bowl cornerback is certainly one of the best defenders through the air in the league.

He recorded a career-high four interceptions last season and allowed an opposing completion percentage of just 55.2 percent.

It doesn’t matter if it is Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jordan Addison, Christian Watson or any other NFC North standout, Johnson tends to be ready for anything.

In order for his Bears to make the playoffs this year, it is going to be up to quality defenders like him to hold his own.

As good as Johnson is, Chicago finished 25th in pass defense a year ago.

That will need to change if the Bears hope to make the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
