The Golden State Warriors were the latest NBA team to go on a dynastic run.
From 2015-22, they won the Western Conference six times.
Of course, what will grab the attention of historians is the fact that they won four NBA championships in that span.
But after finishing 10th in the Western Conference last season, and with core player Klay Thompson leaving to join the Dallas Mavericks, some in the media believe the dynasty is over.
One of those media members is NBA legend Charles Barkley.
“They were mediocre last year, they’re going to be even more mediocre next year … that run is over,” Barkley recently told NBC Sports Bay Area.

The real question is how much can 36-year-old Stephen Curry and 34-year-old Draymond Green handle next season?
Without Thompson, and with the additional loss of Chris Paul this offseason, the Warriors just might not have it in them.
Andrew Wiggins, who was an All-Star two seasons ago, is coming off a down year, and other than 21-year-old Jonathan Kuminga, there isn’t much more youthful firepower on the squad.
Barkley, who has doubted Golden State before, might be right this time.
Unless the Warriors go out and get some real help, the team likely isn’t going anywhere.
The top teams in the Western Conference — the Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets — are just too good and too talented.
Golden State had a great run, but those glory days look like they are coming to a close.
