When Daniel Jones tore his ACL during the 2023 season, the New York Giants were unsure where they would turn.

The team had signed Jones to a four-year contract extension, and he was slated to be the team’s No. 1 guy for the foreseeable future.

Luckily for Jones and the Giants, Tommy DeVito was on the bench, waiting to get an opportunity to showcase his skills and abilities.

DeVito was not only a backup quarterback for the Giants last year, but he was also a social media sensation due to his antics on and off the field.

He helped grow his brand a lot throughout the year, quickly becoming a household name in NFL circles.

While DeVito was a bit of a novelty last year, his camp is still trying to market him as an athlete.

His agent recently commented on his approach moving forward, saying via Clutch Points, “He’s not a rookie anymore, he’s shown he can get it done and be successful against the top teams in the NFL… We’re ready for July 24th.”

DeVito doesn’t just want to be known as a social media icon, but he wants to be recognized as an NFL athlete.

Whether it’s on the Giants or another team, DeVito would love any opportunity to prove himself.

He is on the Giants roster for the 2024 season, but if another team is willing to trade for him due to necessity, it could be his time to shine in the spotlight.
