There are still some very good defensive players and big names left on the free-agent market.
One of those players is former Broncos safety Justin Simmons.
Still searching for his next home, Simmons recently chatted with the Denver media about his current situation.
“Obviously, it’d be so great right now to know where I’m going…But ultimately, I think it’s challenging me in a positive way,” Simmons told Bradey King of Denver7 News.

For Simmons to still be without a team is a little shocking.
The Pro Bowl safety has the most interceptions at his position since coming into the league in 2016 (30).
He has recorded 70+ tackles and multiple interceptions in five of his eight NFL seasons.
His 2022 season was the most impressive considering he was the league’s co-leader in interceptions with six despite playing in just 12 games.
By most accounts, he is the best safety left on the market.
With Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams recently heading to Tennessee on a free agent deal, that takes another team off of the list for Simmons.
Whoever ends up inking the 30-year-old will be getting a win-now type of player.
He can play up in the box and fill the hole in run support.
Or, as you can see from his interception numbers, he can step back and play center field.
He is still one of the most complete defenders in the National Football League.
Look for a quality team in a title window to take a chance on the soon-to-be nine-year veteran.
