Josh Jacobs raised some eyebrows by leaving the Las Vegas Raiders to sign with the Green Bay Packers this offseason, which was the type of move you don’t often see from the Packers as a franchise that typically builds through the draft and doesn’t make many big splashes in free agency.
In a recent interview, Jacobs made a damning statement about why he ultimately decided to leave the Raiders.
Analyst Dov Kleiman shared a clip from a recent podcast appearance Jacobs did where Jacobs was asked if it was hard for him to deal with wondering if he’d ever get out during the early part of his career with the Raiders, and Jacobs said “Coming from Alabama, I went to the championship every year I was there” and told a story of how he got frustrated after losing his first game in the NFL and when he talked to a veteran after the loss and was told to get used to losing in the NFL, and he said, “so y’all cool with losing?”

Jacobs mentioned how hard he and some of his teammates worked and said it hurt to not see the results, adding “Y’all want me to come back on a discount and lose? I don’t know how I feel about that.”
The Packers gave Jacobs four years and $48 million, a surprisingly large price tag for a running back.
Green Bay let Aaron Jones walk in free agency and replaced him with a guy they believe can anchor the running game for years and help this team get to the next level after winning a playoff game in Jordan Love’s first year as a starter last year.
