The Golden State Warriors lost a franchise cornerstone piece earlier this offseason in shooting guard Klay Thompson.
He is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks.
Former player and current Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. recently spoke to the Bay Area media about Thompson’s impact on the franchise.
“What more can you say? Just an unbelievable run…We’ll miss him,” Dunleavy said of Thompson.

Simply put, Thompson became one of the greatest shooters in NBA history while playing for the Warriors for so long.
The four-time champion currently sits at No. 6 all-time in three-point makes.
He is in the category of all-time greats like Steph Curry, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Larry Bird, and so many other great shooters.
Golden State went on one of the greatest runs in NBA history from 2015-2022.
The team won the Western Conference six times and won four titles.
His No. 11 jersey will likely be retired when his career is over.
When you are in the top five in franchise history in three-point field goals, minutes played, field goals made, and a load of other significant stats, you deserve to be remembered forever.
