You may or may not think that LeBron James is the greatest player in NBA history.
You could make an argument and give dozens of reasons about why he’s the GOAT.
However, you could also make a case for him not getting that distinction; it literally depends on where you stand.
Nonetheless, not even the biggest LeBron critic can argue that he’s a Mt. Rushmore kind of player at the very least.
He has the skills and the résumé to back up that claim.
That’s why each and every single one of his colleagues have no choice but to tip their hats to him and just give him his flowers.
Notably, that includes Kevin Durant.
In a recent interview for the TODAY Show, the Phoenix Suns forward praised LeBron’s work ethic, passion, approach, and love for the game (via ClutchPoints).
“The more you’re around him as a teammate, you can see why he’s considered the best player to ever play.”

He claimed that the more time he got to spend with him, the more he could understand those who believed he was the best to ever do it.
Recently, James was voted as the best player on Team USA, which is no small feature for a team that features the creme of the crop of NBA talent.
Some believe his numbers are a product of longevity and not necessarily a testament of skill.
But even if that were the case, the fact that he’s still playing at such a high level after two decades is pretty much unprecedented in most sports, and especially in the game of basketball.
