Some years ago, the Charlotte Hornets hoped that LaMelo Ball would turn out to be their franchise player and lead them to success.
Fast forward to today, and while the talent is most definitely there, the durability hasn’t been.
There have also been some reports about his off-court demeanor and antics, and it doesn’t seem as if basketball is at the top of his priority list.
That’s why it was such a breath of fresh air for them to get Brandon Miller so high in the NBA Draft last season.
Miller had a solid rookie campaign and looks like a promising player, and he showed that with his latest performance in the Las Vegas Summer League.
As shown by the NBA on Twitter, Miller finished the game with 23 points, eight rebounds, and five three-pointers to uplift his team past the New York Knicks.

For years, Miller has drawn comparisons to Paul George, and the resemblance in their games is simply remarkable.
Miller isn’t quite there yet on the defensive end of the floor, but he clearly tries hard.
He also needs to add more muscle and bulk up a little to be more physical and be able to initiate contact more often.
He’s a crafty three-level scorer with a high basketball IQ, and he’s also shown a willingness to make plays for others.
If Ball is able to shake off his never-ending injury woes, the Hornets could have one of the most electric one-two punches in the game in no time.
