Skip Bayless has been a part of the sports cultural zeitgeist for several years.

He has made a living providing hot takes about various sports, making a lot of fans while racking up enemies along the way.

People like Bayless have proven to be important in the media, as they often provide an alternate viewpoint from the general public.

Despite his presence in the media, it appears his time is ending, at least at Fox Sports.

According to reporter Ryan Glasspiegel via Ari Meirov, Bayless is moving on from FS1, which means that he will no longer be the co-host of “Undisputed.”

Skip Bayless is leaving FS1 and his role as co-host of “Undisputed” after eight years, per @sportsrapport. His final show will be later this summer.

Undisputed was one of the most popular sports talk shows on the air, and the status of the programming is up in the air with this announcement.

This was a shock to many people around the sports community, and fans made sure to have their feelings heard on Twitter.

The moment he disrespected Shannon Sharpes NFL career on 12-12-22 on Undisputed Skip pretty much put the nails on the coffin for his career.

I don’t agree with a lot of his takes but him and Shannon were a fun era on FS1. Skip should enjoy retirement after this. @ShannonSharpe ahould come back as the main host

@ShannonSharpe this show was over when you left. Now it’s official. I’m sure you’ll always be grateful for the opportunity skip gave you and wish him well. It’s sad that y’all can’t bury the hatchet. I hope you can one day before skip is too old.

Fans seemed to have varying reactions to Bayless’ announcement.

Some were excited to see him go, hoping that FS1 hires a new host shortly, trying to replace what Bayless did throughout his career.

Others made sure to thank Bayless for everything he did, also wondering what Shannon Sharpe’s career will look like, and if he’ll return to the show.

Sharpe left Undisputed after some unpleasant interactions with Bayless, but now that he’s gone, there is certainly a path for him to come back to the program if it fits the direction the network would like to go.
